We found this wine urn in an antique shop in Zermatt, Switzerland.
Made of peweter, it stands about 3 feet tall and will hold about 3 to 4
gallons of wine. It is dated 1689, and is from a bishop’s residence in
the German part of Switzerland. Hand hammered and hand
carved, the inscriptions says:
