Hidden in a wooded area of a park near Les Imberts, this borie was an excellent example of a building form of Provence that goes back hundreds of years. Originally occupied by sheephearders, these rounded buildings were made entirely of stone and had a chimney hole at the top. This one was about 12 feet tall inside and showed the residue of hundreds of years of smoke. The buildings were built by stacking rocks. |
