| One of the days we went to Murren, a
town above Interlaken in the Lautebrunal Valley. The town is on a ledge
high above Lauterbrunen. You cannot drive to the village, a mountain climbing
train is the only way to get there. That is the Jungfrau behind us. But there is a valley that is 3,000 - 4,000 feet deep between us and those mountains. It would take about 3 hours by train to get from where we are to that green grassy saddle (which is Kleine Scheidig) behind us in the center of the picture. |
