of the Eiger Trail. This is a trail that runs along the north wall of the
Eiger near Grindewald in Switzerland. It is a great trail and if you ever get there you should walk it. It is well prepared and well maintained. It is interesting to note that in Swiss German a trail is a "wanderweg", but here they elect to call it "Eiger - Trail" . I suspect that is might be more because of the Japanese influence than English or American. There are many, many more Japanese tourists in Grindewald than Americans and the common language for them to communicate with Swiss people is English. Oh, the creap of American influence and globalization. |
